I and Charm, with my tita, traveled to Manila last Friday night, October 16 to hurdle one of life's hardest tests - college life.
It was a tiring & FREEZING eight-hour travel inside Isarog bus. Good thing I was conditioned. I can't stop staring at the clock infront of me knowing that in just a couple of hours, I'll be able to step on the promised land, be able to smell the scent of the hypnic carbon from the racing vehicles causing those morning traffic jams I usually see on early morning shows, have that feeling of anxiety and caution from snatchers and holduppers - all of these things have my mind occupied other than the real purpose I have in mind for going to Manila.
Finally, at about 4:30 in the morning we arrived safely. We're abandoned by the bus at Alabang and we waited there for about an hour to have my tito fetch us up. I and Charm we're enthusiastic eventhough silent due to the exhausting trip. It's the first time that we've ever traveled and experience Manila together and the great thing was our adventure was just about to start.
At last, my tito arrived. He lives in Sucat, Parañaque. I don't have any idea where that is or how far we're going to travel but that's the nice part - that we're clueless. When we reached home, we literally dropped ourselves on the couch, ate breakfast, and had time for chit-chat. Not long, we're joined by my cousins and tita who just waked up. They'll have to do some business that day so I and Charm were left at home with my other tita sleeping. And guess what we did, other than shoo-away Blanch (my tito's annoying yet prudent pet cat), we did our homework - such studious girls! We can't miss school so we did schoolworks and projects in advance. Yey for us!
My tito was supposed to bring Charm to La Salle. She will stay with her brother and uncle at Sta. Mesa. Our 9:30 a.m. schedule became a three-hour agony of waiting. We almost left at 12:30 p.m. so we traveled straight to SM Sta. Mesa instead. My brother will go there also to hand me my test permit so I'm excited 'cause after 5 months, I'll be able to see him again.
Soon, Charm was fetched by her timid brother. We went straight to Max's to eat lunch and there we were met by my brother, who at first hand, I haven't recognized with all his new sense of fashion but his attitude never quite changed. It's a chicken-ful lunch for all of us.
After lunch, it's time for goodbyes again. My brother left alone and went back to UP. We dropped my tita at some point in Makati where she originally lives. All that's left is my tito and her bratty daughter. I was tired. In a few hours, we arrived home. At that time, I remembered that I have to accomplish one project. I asked my eight-year old cousin to accompany to a nearby internet shop. I researched some paperworks, afterwhich, I did my very complicated, unfinished masterpiece.
I could've finished it if not for the invitation of my tita to go to her house and there to take dinner. I can't refuse 'cause I know that it's also their first time that they'll have me visit their place. We rode off with my little cousins, bought 'pasalubong', had a wonderful dinner with them, spent the night with overflowing jokes, stories, laughs, dances, and more laughs. I'm happy I had the chance to experience those things.
It's getting late and I still have some important appointment tomorrow so we drove home back to my tito's place. I had myself prepared for bed but I'm not ready to sleep yet. I still have some things to do. Alone, awake, while all else are asleep & while I was getting myself busy, weird things occurred...
